Ihlara Valley is approximately 90 kilometers away from the Cappadocia region. En route to Ihlara, we pass through Nevşehir city center and reach our first stop about half an hour after the start of our tour. Our first stop is Kayaşehir, located in Nevşehir city center. This is a whole city carved into the rocks with Nevşehir Castle at the top. Here, we explore a city dating back to the 6th century, including monasteries, churches from the Roman and Byzantine periods, multi-story tombs, ritual and ceremony meeting centers, pottery workshops, wineries, water tunnels, stables, and various living spaces. Additionally, you can see structures such as historic mosques, the Church of Virgin Mary, and a Greek bath in the region.
After our exploration of Kayaşehir, we head towards Ihlara Valley. Ihlara Valley is the deepest and largest canyon in the Cappadocia region. The hiking trail inside the valley offers an unforgettable walking experience with its magnificent nature and rich history. During the walk, we visit the settlements, monasteries, and rock churches of the early Christians. After our walk in the valley, we take a lunch break at our restaurant by the Melendiz River in the village of Belisırma, and take a rest along with our meal.
Following lunch, we start our return journey to the Cappadocia region, and on the way, we take a photo break at Narlı Lake, one of the famous photographic spots in the region. When we arrive in the Cappadocia region, we visit the volcanic stone processing workshop in the Çavuşin area and learn about Onyx, Sultanite stone, and silver craftsmanship. After this stop, we visit the village of Çavuşin and explore the hidden church that still contains frescoes, along with the rock houses and pigeon houses in the region.
Our last stop is in Çavuşin, and our tour concludes here. After Çavuşin village, we drop off our guests at their hotels.
In group tours, the maximum number of participants is 10.
During the tour, guests are responsible for covering the entrance fees to the historical sites. At the entrances of these historical sites, tickets can be obtained with the assistance of our guides.
